These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the services provided by Smith Family House and Garage Clearances (“we”, “our”, “us”) to customers (“you”, “your”). By booking our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services Provided
We offer house, garage, shed, loft, and general clearance services, including removal and disposal of unwanted items, in accordance with UK waste disposal regulations.
2. Bookings and Quotes
All quotes are free and provided with no obligation.
Quotes are based on the information you provide. If additional items, labour, or time are required on the day, we may adjust the final cost accordingly.
Bookings are only confirmed once agreed by both parties (verbally, by email, text, or written confirmation).
3. Pricing and Payment
Prices are agreed in advance wherever possible.
Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All prices include responsible disposal of waste at licensed facilities unless stated otherwise.
4. Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.
Late cancellations may incur a fee to cover lost time and expenses.
5. Items We Cannot Remove
For health, safety, or legal reasons, we cannot remove:
Hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, chemicals, flammable substances)
Gas bottles, pressurised containers, or explosives
Medical or biological waste
Any items prohibited by law
6. Access and Responsibilities
You must ensure safe and reasonable access to the property.
Parking arrangements and permits (if required) are your responsibility unless agreed otherwise.
We will not be liable for delays or inability to complete a clearance due to access issues.
7. Liability
We take care when working in your property; however, we are not liable for:
Pre-existing damage to property or items
Any damage caused by poor access, unsafe structures, or unforeseen hazards
Our liability for any proven damage or loss is limited to the cost of the clearance service provided.
8. Waste Disposal
We are a licensed waste carrier and dispose of items responsibly in accordance with UK regulations.
Where possible, we recycle or donate reusable items.
Once items are removed, ownership transfers to us, and we reserve the right to recycle, sell, or dispose of them appropriately.
9. Insurance
We hold public liability insurance to cover our services. Proof can be provided upon request.
10. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with our service, please contact us within 7 days so we can address your concerns.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
